36mm deep, chunky (also referred to box or 3D) stretched canvases made with a heavy 11oz (360gsm) pure 100% cotton canvas.

They have a quality surface that is sized and then primed with three coats of primer pigmented with Titanium White to create a surface excellent for painting that minimises colour sink and shrinkage.

Each canvas is hand-stretched over specially profiled pine wood stretcher bars, kiln-dried to minimise warping and shaped so they do not leave 'rub lines'.

The canvases are stapled on the reverse side, using a special method to ensure tautness, leaving the sides clean that along with the carefully tailored corners means that finished art work has the option to be hung either framed or unframed and gives the artist the option to work right to the edge of the sides.
